The Supreme Student Council, in collaboration with the Guidance Center and the Child Protection Committee of Colegio San Agustin-Makati, proudly hosted the first-ever Safe Spaces Seminar—a groundbreaking event aimed at fostering a safer and more inclusive environment for all students.

The seminar featured two distinguished speakers: Atty. Joseph Estrada and Dr. Joan Rifareal, who shared their expertise on critical topics.

Atty. Estrada delved into the legal aspects of child protection, the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law, and the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313), empowering students with knowledge of their rights and the laws designed to safeguard them.

Dr. Rifareal explored the psychological impact of bullying on both perpetrators and victims. She also offered practical guidance on setting healthy boundaries when navigating challenging situations.

A highlight of the seminar was the open forum, where students candidly shared their thoughts, raised concerns, and received valuable insights from the experts.

By spearheading the Augustinian Safe Spaces Seminar, the Supreme Student Council reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a supportive school community. The event aimed to equip students with the social, mental, and emotional tools they need to confidently navigate the exciting yet challenging journey of college life.

Together, we move closer to building a campus culture where respect, empathy, and safety thrive.
